    Professor Minakshi Tikoo, PhD, MBI, MS, MSc received her PhD in Human Ecology and holds graduate degrees in Biomedical informatics, Child development, and marriage and family studies. Before coming to the School of nursing Dr. Tikoo was the Director of Health Information Technology at the Center for Quantitative Medicine and an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Community medicine at UCONN Health. Her research, evaluation and services are focused on electronic health records and Health IT implementations, Quality Improvement, Developing Performance Measurement Systems, Evaluating quality within health systems, Program evaluation, Data integration, Decision-support systems, HIT policy, Clinical informatics, Health Information Exchange (HIE), business intelligence, big data, public health and behavioral health informatics, implementation research, and health policy. She also serves as the Health and Human services Health IT coordinator and as the Director of Business Intelligence & Shared Analytics for the Dept. of Social Services.
