    Dr. Nair received her Ph.D. from SCTIMST, India in Polymer Chemistry and Biomaterials in 2000 on Surface Modification of Polymers for Biomedical Applications. After the completion of her graduate work, she underwent post doctoral training at Drexel University, Philadelphia and the University of Virginia, Charlottesville on Musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering. She then joined the faculty at the University of Virginia as an research assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Nair joined the University of Connecticut in 2008 as an assistant professor in the Departments of Orthopadic Surgery and Chemical, Materials and Biomolecular Engineering.
